The Keynote
Shiny Object Syndrome
Leading with Discernment in the Age of AI.
Being driven is no longer enough.
I have spent my life around driven people. In the Army, at the FBI, in business. Drive is everywhere. What is rare is knowing where to point it. Effort aimed at the wrong thing is just expensive motion, and the leaders who win from here are the ones who aim well. First at themselves. Then at the people they lead.
The job of a leader is to cast a vision so large your team's dreams fit inside it, show them a clear end state, find awesome people, and get out of the way. AI makes that harder, not easier. It floods every day with noise and makes busy feel like progress. Discernment is what cuts through it. AI can replace management. It cannot replace leadership.

Who is Hunter Locke?
Before any title, I am a man of faith, a husband, and a father. That is the role I most want to get right, and it shapes how I lead everywhere else. I do not have it all figured out. The leaders I respect are the ones who serve first and never stop learning, and that is the kind I work to be.
The Army and the FBI taught me most of what I know about leading when the stakes are real. I spent about ten years as a U.S. Army officer. I served in an Airborne Brigade Combat Team and on NATO assignments, and I was honored to lead American Soldiers. I later had the privilege of continuing my service as an FBI Special Agent, graduating from Quantico at the top of my class before being assigned to the Baltimore Field Office.
Today I build businesses and invest in commercial real estate. That is the work I speak from. Not theory. The fight in front of me. I hold a B.S. in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and I am a fixed wing commercial pilot. I live and work in Central Florida.
Faith first. Family second. Everything else third.
